A little about us....

Allison Rogers, DVM

Owner, Practitioner

Allison Rogers graduated in 1990 with her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida. She began her career working with exotic animals, however felines eventually won her heart.  She and her husband, Tim, are the proud parents of  three busy boys.  She truly enjoys practicing feline medicine, travel, scuba diving, and being "Mom".

Sarah H. Clarke, DVM

Sara Clarke graduated from University of Florida's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.  She has two children, and her husband is a veterinary specialist.   Dr. Clarke truly enjoys her time with our clients and their cats.

Ann Porter, DVM

Dr. Porter has enjoyed practicing in interesting environments.  Her stories and her photos of her work as a veterinarian in Greece are amazing.  She has a gentle way with cats and enjoys the rewards of enriching cats' lives.

   OUR TECHNICIANS

Kimberley, Clinic Supervisor

Leslie is our clinic's purchasing agent, one of our senior technicians, and is a Qualified Veterinary Dental Technician.  She joined the staff shortly after the practice opened in 1993.  She has dedicated her working career towards the care of sick and well cats. Her valued wealth of experience and  knowledge of feline care are appreciated by clients, our doctors, her patients, and her own kitties!

                Leslie, Clinic Purchasing Agent

Kimberley, our Clinic Supervisor, oversees both clinics' day to day operations. Her tasks include skills training from the Front Desk to the Treatment Area, equipment use & maintenance, overseeing staff and doctor ordered patient care, and staff's scheduling.  She has worked as a veterinary technician with us since 2002 and displays a strong commitment to her profession earning the respect of her coworkers.  Kimberley is also our Diets Purchasing Agent.  Specific diets are available for various medical conditions, and maintaining our diet inventory levels is important for many of the kitties.  Kim is a Hill's Diets Nutritional Counselor, and a Qualified Dental Technician too.

Meredith, our senior technician, has enjoyed working with our clients as much as their kitties since 2000.   Her genuine caring enables her to share her knowledge and support with clients who are suddenly faced with the challenges of managing their cat's medical care at home.   She's exceptional in training newer staff members in our veterinary software program too.   She always has a smile and a encouraging message whether it is in the exam room, at the front desk, or on the telephone.  A well placed IV catheter or an appointment scheduled is done with the same enthusiasm and attention to detail.  Meredith is a Qualified Dental Technician.

Diane, one of our veterinary technicians, had been a client before joining our staff years ago.    Her compassion and love for the cats is apparent to all that work with her.  Diane's technician duties include performing in-house lab procedures, preparing pharmaceuticals to go home, patient care, and radiology.  She is attentive to the doctors' needs and to our clients, as they explain their concerns about their cats.  She has always provided her support whenever shifts need additional staffing.

Jessica is a well skilled, experienced veterinary technician.  She has recently joined our team and has become a key contributing member.  Although she's covering in-house lab controls, updates & lab-work, patient care, radiology, and more...we have realized that she has culinary skills too!   She's quickly endeared herself to staff, patients, and clients.   'Lucky kitties and lucky us too!

Esther joined our team as a veterinary technician when we opened our location in Jacksonville Beach.  She has been responsible for much of the patient care, dentistry, inventory management, in-house lab work, and scheduling there.  She is also a dedicated college student.   You may see her at both of our locations, as she shines in any assigned position.

Francisco is one of our veterinary techniciansHe is actually a graduate of veterinary school in Peru, but he must work as a veterinary technician, until he completes the necessary steps towards his veterinary license in the US.   He joins the doctors in their appointments assisting them with restraint for examinations, vaccinating, and medicating.  Our clients compliment him on his handling of their cats.

Tatiana joined us recently as a veterinary technicianShe is a graduate of veterinary school in Russia, but also only performs the tasks of a veterinary technician, until she completes the steps towards her licensing to practice in the US.  She earned a PhD in Biology Sciences in Russia, and has a heavy background in veterinary research.   You will see her in both of our locations assisting our doctors in the exam room appointments with clients and their kitties.

  OUR FRONT DESK'S CARE COORDINATORS....

Beth has been at our Front Desk for many years now.  She knows almost every cat by name and keeps the appointments flowingShe and the other staff at the Front Desk are your first contact and enable all of us at A Cat Clinic to honor your cat's health and comfort.  After being a school teacher, librarian for the blind and physically handicapped, and a bank worker, she found her niche at A Cat Clinic helping our clients.  She is a trained Nutritional Counselor through Hills Veterinary Diets.

          Beth         Karen

Karen joined our Front Desk this past year.  She is enthusiastic, compassionate, and fun driven!  She enjoys meeting the cats and their owners, checking our emails, scheduling appointments, and listening to clients sharing their "cat's tales".   Her goal is to pursue more technical skills in the clinic.  She recently adopted a blind kitten after hearing its story from an area veterinarian.   If you hear laughter and giggling...it's probably Karen!  She also enjoys surprising staff with lunches!   She is also a Hill's Nutritional Counselor.

Kristen works as a Care Coordinator at our Front Desk.  She began working  in our Bed & Breakfast for Cats and transitioned to the Front Desk.  The kitties in B& B have her only for occasional shifts now, but she can be found there often visiting old and new kitty friends.

Aubrey is a Care Coordinator now too.  Her kitty career also began in our Bed & Breakfast.  She covers additional duties with handling our heavy diet shipments that arrive notoriously late on Friday afternoons, calling the clients with the arrived special orders, and restocking our shelves.  Kristen & Aubrey enjoy taking photos of the B&B cats whenever photo opportunities present.. which is often!

OUR BED & BREAKFAST STAFF

Sandy is responsible for the care of the cats in our Bed & Breakfast.  She provides a clean environment and the personal attention that our owners appreciate when they must be separated from them for short periods.   She cares for them as if they were her own cats.  She is trained in nursing skills to medicate, perform fluid therapy, and insulin injections to cats requiring it during their stay in our Bed & Breakfast.

Crystal joined our Bed & Breakfast staff several months agoShe is diligent in her efforts in caring for the cats.  She is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their condos and managing their medications and feedings.   She really enjoys the veterinary environment and hopes to continue to learn and advance in the clinic.
