In Memory . . ."Until one has loved an animal, part of one's soul remains untouched." Anatole France

Memorial to Sugar Cope

I’ve had cats since I was a young girl. Sugar was a very special cat.  She was extremely affectionate, enjoyed retrieving, and stayed very close.

Sugar was especially helpful and comforting when, for over two years, I taught over one thousand students a week while also taking graduate classes… toward another master’s degree… this one in technology. She stayed within stroking distance. She could sense stress and seemed to know that by brushing and stroking her, she reduced my stress. At night, she slept very close.

The photo of Sugar, Simon, and Yang was taken three years ago on one of our (almost) daily walks to Julington Creek. She loved the game Catch the Ostrich Feather.

Sugar is at the top of the photo

   Willie

Willie is so missed by his family and everyone at our clinic.  His family shared him with us in our Bed & Breakfast often when they would travel.    His blue eyes and classic way of napping under his blankets and his mom's bathrobe were his trademarks.  He had his favorite condo with us in front of the mirrors.  He knew that he was handsome, and he could always keep a 360 degree watch on the B&B sitting in front of his mirror.  Willie will always be in our hearts.
